With spring here, we can now look to the necessary work needed on the verandas at the Mead Cultural Education Center. Engineers were onsite this week to work with the Mead Restoration Committee on how to tackle the greatest ornate feature of the Mead exterior. Although work on the veranda's is intended to commence in May of this year, the museum will continue to be open to the public all summer long. Mark your calendars for our Feed Your Mind presentation at noon on Friday, April 5, 2019. Former administrator Steve Lindquist will be here to talk about the history of the state hospital, which celebrates a 140th anniversary this year. For more on upcoming events you can check out our calendar of events at www.meadbuilding.org. You can stop out at the Mead Cultural Education Center at 82 Mickelson Drive, email us at info@meadbuilding.org. Our winter hours are Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (closed Wednesdays) and Saturday & Sunday 1pm-5pm. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
