Our Volunteers Are Great

We absolutely love our volunteers. For many months now, Lynette Goehring (pictured above) has put in many hours into cataloging, recording and boxing up the research library at the Dakota Territorial Museum. She is finally done, and she and the library are ready to be moved to the Mead Cultural Education Center. Lynette is just one of our many dedicated volunteers that have given so much of their time to making sure this move is a success. Now is a great time to get your membership to the Yankton County Historical Society. We have options for students, individuals, couples, families, and businesses. There are wonderful benefits to joining, including free admission to the museum for an entire year! There is something for everyone. Dec. 10-14 we will be offering a members-only look at the Childrens Transportation Museum and the new exhibits, as well as a look at what is still to come. On Saturday, Dec. 15, we will have our Vintage Christmas event in the afternoon. If you have any questions, please contact us at 82 Mickelson Drive or call us at 605-665-3898. Check us out at www.dakotaterritorialmuseum.org, wwww.meadbuilding.org, on Facebook/Dakota Territorial Museum, or call 605-665-3898.
