It has been an exciting week out at the Mead Cultural Education Center. As we have been unpacking our offices we have been able to watch the elevator shaft outside reach near completion. It has been interesting to watch the guys stand above and carefully layer the blocks and concrete. Bathroom facilities are reaching completion as well… which is really exciting for us. In less than 2 months we will be opening to the public. Now is a great time to get your membership to the Yankton County Historical Society. We have options for students, individuals, couples, families, and businesses. There are wonderful benefits to joining, including free admission to the museum for an entire year! There is something for everyone. Dec. 10-14 we will be offering a members-only look at the Childrens Transportation Museum and the new exhibits, as well as a look at what is still to come.
