We love having community involvement at the Mead Cultural Education Center. This week we had students from Mount Marty College out as part of their Mission Day. The students mopped and cleaned in our finished event halls and in the Childrens Museum. Some also gave the marble staircase a good cleaning. Thank you to them and their enthusiasm for the facility. We are under 100 days out from our big re-opening on December 15, 2018. Our Vintage Christmas at the Mead will be a family fun event for all ages. Now is the perfect time to consider joining the Yankton County Historical Society. There are wonderful benefits to joining, including free admission to the museum for an entire year. We have student rates, as well as individual, couple, family, and some upper levels. There is something for everyone.
