Special Project for Children's Museum

The inmates with the Community Service Program at the Yankton Federal Prison Camp have been busy working on a surprise project for the Children’s Transportation Museum. The children’s hands-on museum will be one of two major exhibits to initially open at the Mead Cultural Education Center. There have been many hours put into this project already and it wouldn’t be possible without their hardwork.

Have you thought of helping out in some way on the Mead Building Project? We are currently in our “Mead Matters” Campaign to raise funds needed for this major project. Every contribution helps and no donation is too small. To make a contribution, please contact the Dakota Territorial Museum at 610 Summit Street (in Westside Park), on Facebook/Dakota Territorial Museum, visit us online at www.dakotaterritorialmuseum.org or www.meadbuilding.org, or call us at 605-665-3898.
