This Thursday the Mead Building hosted a tour for a group from the Director of Equalization offices across South Dakota. The group was very interested in all the progress being made at the Mead Building, such as the stencil art and plaster restoration. The quality of the craftsmanship going into the restoration was also noted. Group tours can be arranged for your organization, too. These tours are a great way to learn about the history of the building and the details of restoration work. If you have questions about the project or events please contact us at the Dakota Territorial Museum at 610 Summit Street (in Westside Park), on Facebook, visit our website at www.meadbuilding.org, or call us at 605-665-3898. The museum is open 10 am-5 pm Monday-Friday and noon-4 pm weekends.
