Project Update

Pictured here is the American River’s Voyage of Discover exhibit. It is planned to be on exhibit at the museum when the Mead Building is completed. The exhibit was gifted to the Dakota Territorial Museum following the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial celebration.

Things are moving inside thanks to Mother Nature. This week, we met with Traub Designs from Kansas City. As exhibit designers, they will be overseeing the future exhibition hall layout of the Mead Building. This is an exciting next step as we prepare for the move. Recently the Institute of Museum and Library Services Museums for American grant has given us a wonderful opportunity to get the collection ready for the move – just two short years away.
