Special Event to be Held at Mead

We have had a busy start to the year! The Museum recently conducted a telephone survey as part of a grant process. Through the dedication of lots of volunteers, we have finished collecting responses and hope to have good news to share with you next month. We are also getting ready for the unveiling of the completed foyer at a special event to be held January 30 and 31. This event will feature Native American artifacts once owned by Lakota Chief Sitting Bull. These objects are part of a private collection and are rarelty seen. In the photo above you can see one of the restored archways. Details for the event are on the Facebook page for the Museum. If you have questions about the project or events please contact us at the Dakota Territorial Museum at 610 Summit Street (in Westside Park), on Facebook, visit our website at www.dakotaterritorialmuseum.org or www.meadbuilding.org, or call us at 605-665-3898. The museum is open noon-4 pm seven days a week.
