Special Thank You to everyone that went to the polls on November 4, to support the Yankton County Historic Preservation Ordinance. By near 1,000 votes the ordinance for 1/20th of mill levy passed. The Yankton County Historic Preservation Commission is eager to begin planning for these funds that will be designated in 2016. Anyone that wishes to have the commission review a Yankton County historic preservation project for funding are encouraged to contact one of the commissioners or Crystal Nelson at the Dakota Territorial Museum. 665-3898
