Spring Progress

The spring weather has meant a lot of progress at the Mead. The foyer has had a few more finishing touches and work on the arch-topped windows for the second story parlors has been progressing rapidly. You can see an example of an original arch window in the photo above. At the museum we have been getting ready for some big things, too. This summer will be the 80th Anniversary of the Dakota Territorial Museum opening. The Museum has been in continual operation since 1936, and we are ready for our next big chapter at the Mead Cultural Education Center. You are invited to come help celebrate the first 80 years at the Museum on June 12 from 11am-3pm. If you have questions about the project or events please contact us at the Dakota Territorial Museum at 610 Summit Street (in Westside Park), on Facebook, visit our website at www.dakotaterritorialmuseum.org or www.meadbuilding.org, or call us at 605-665-3898. We are open 10am-5pm Monday through Friday and from noon-4pm on weekends.
