Our crew is beginning to prime window sashes in anticipation of reinstallation when spring arrives. Plastering above the foyer scaffolding has been completed and the finish painting is underway. Project manager Gregg Homstad hopes to begin applying stencils next week. If you are interested in volunteering at the museum, we have an important training day coming up. On Feb. 13 Museum Director Crystal Nelson will be conducting basic collections care training for new volunteers, area museum patrons, and anyone interested in learning. Feb. 23-27, conservator Terri Schindel will be conducting more advanced training and working with people in a hands-on setting. The training sessions are possible thanks to the IMLS grant the museum received.
