Making Way For New Floor

Big things happening in the basement at the Mead Cultural Education Center (MCEC). Earlier this week you could hear the jackhammers as it broke up the buckling floor in the west wing basement. Thanks to Doyle Stevens Construction we will soon have a new floor. This location in the MCEC will be our Preservation and Training Laboratory for the ongoing care of the historic collection at the museum. Don’t forget to come by the museum this Sunday, March 10, for our Mead Story Time. This is open to all kids and begins at 1:30pm. Our special reader will be Lois Varvel, reading “The Day Bridger Got His Name,” a book she co-authored with Kathy Grow. For more on upcoming events you can check out our calendar of events at www.meadbuilding.org. You can stop out at the Mead Cultural Education Center at 82 Mickelson Drive, email us at info@meadbuilding.org. Our winter hours are Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (closed Wednesdays) and Saturday & Sunday 1pm-5pm. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
