Plaster moldings are being restored in the second floor parlors. These replacement moldings are being replicated in the Mead Building using methods similar to original construction. On the main floor, storm windows are being built for the large parlor rooms. If you are interested in sponsoring a window restoration, there are still many available! We have also been working on a traveling kiosk for the Mead Project, which will make its debut at the Association of South Dakota Museum’s conference this weekend in Sioux Falls. If you have questions about the project or events please contact us at the Dakota Territorial Museum at 610 Summit Street (in Westside Park), on Facebook, visit our website at www.meadbuilding.org, or call us at 605-665-3898. The museum is open 10 am-5 pm Monday-Friday and noon-4 pm weekends.
